Calum Challenger joins the Team Metalogic family as the newest member in the role of Junior Service Desk Engineer.
Calum’s responsible for being the first point of contact for any client who requires technical support. Through funding his professional development, Team Metalogic plans to invest in a three to five year plan to equip Calum with all of the skills and training to become an engineer.
For over 10 years, Calum previously worked for the car manufacturer, Ford. After being made redundant due to the pandemic, Calum decided it was the perfect time to move into the IT industry. Enthusiastic about IT, Calum applied via the government apprenticeship scheme, and Team Metalogic is thrilled to have snapped him up.
While working for the car manufacturer, Calum acquired numerous skills in IT through self study. Attaining both the CompTIA A+ IT certification, and ITIL 4 foundation certificate in Service Management Best Practices, Calum is well equipped with the necessary skills to both take on his current role, and develop as he continues to learn.
Team Metalogic is always looking to invest in fresh faces who they can help to develop and grow, and Calum’s dedication to IT and knowledge in the industry makes him the perfect fit for the managed IT services provider.
Team Metalogic invests hugely in their staff, and Calum is the latest employee to benefit from this commitment.
Speaking about this new wave of opportunities that have opened for him, Calum says:
“Working at Team Metalogic provides me with a fantastic opportunity to use the skills I have learnt in a real world environment, and gives me the chance to further develop my knowledge, working alongside more experienced colleagues who are experts in their fields.”
Team Metalogic is thrilled to have Calum on board and can’t wait to see how he progresses with the company over the coming years.
