Position: Founder & CEO
I'm the CEO here, that pretty much means I'm responsible for driving the business forwards and striving for growth and success... as well as dealing with all those problems and challenges that crop up! Having started the business in 2003, the most important part of my role is making sure that everything we do now as a business is to the same standard and with the same personal care and attention, as it was when I was doing all the fixing myself!
What was the very first computer you used? (aka how old are you?!)
Atari 800XL
Who is your hero?
It would have to be my mum. She passed away in 2015, but she gave me 34 years of a solid upbringing and definitely made me the man I am today. She was strong, determined and showed immense bravery, but never stopped putting others first. She was liked, loved and respected by everyone who met her and no matter how tough things might have been, that was never a valid excuse to not make an effort and just get on with life.
When did you join Team Metalogic?
2003
Why are you here?
I started this business not long out of university. To get where I have and build a growing & successful business, with a solid team of committed individuals that want to continue delivering great service in line with my vision, is a huge self-purpose. I was never taught 'business', or 'management' or even 'leadership', but I was taught to surround yourself with great people and never be afraid to ask for help. Over 15 years later, I still learn every single day... and that's what keeps me coming back for more!
What are your hobbies?
Thinking I should list something other than gin and wine.... how about good steak?! Other than that, I enjoy hitting the gym, particularly HIIT, exploring different countries and more recently, getting into mountain biking.
What does your down-time look like?
I love being out with friends and family, exploring new places to eat and drink, especially if it involves a good bottle of wine or three! Other than that I'm usually either reading something or sleeping, or having an adventure somewhere with Dexter the French Bulldog.
